Job Location: Spennymoor Pathways


VACANCY NO: AHS/21/562B

We are looking for a motivated and flexible person to fulfil cleaning responsibilities and provide a safe clean environment within Spennymoor Pathways.

Spennymoor Pathways is a Day service for people with learning and physical disabilities and complex needs based in Spennymoor leisure centre.

The postholder will be mainly lone working and will have experience of using cleaning equipment and materials. They will undertake a range of duties relating to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of the day service whilst complying with hygiene and health and safety legislation.

You will be required to work 20 hours a week between 3-7pm although this may be negotiable.


Applicants should have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 20th December, 2021.

**Covid-19 Vaccination
This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval.

If you are successful and before taking up the role you will be required to provide evidence of this as part of your pre-employment checks.

The appointment for this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced level check.
