We are seeking a talented, dynamic, and inspirational professional who will play a key role in the delivery of better regulatory services, and to help achieve these goals for County Durham.

This opportunity is based within Durham County Council’s Trading Standards Team, which is part of the wider Community Protection Service of the Neighbourhoods and Climate Change Directorate.

We are looking for an officer to undertake this role within our Business Compliance Team, which will include engaging with businesses and internal and external partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community Protection Service, in one of the largest unitary councils in the country and contribute to the transformation and improvement of local regulatory services.

You will share our commitment to the delivery of services that are of the highest quality, accord with the Council’s priorities and contribute to the development of a prosperous, safe, and sustainable future for County Durham.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate that they possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to be able to undertake delivery of accurate detailed advice to business, investigations, and interventions, where appropriate.
