An opportunity has arisen to join the Health and Safety team at Durham County Council as a Health and Safety Technical Assistant. This is a safety professional development role, to contribute to the delivery of an effective Health and Safety service by providing support to the Health and Safety Team, and/or providing Health and Safety information and advice to customers.

This is a 2 year temporary post from start date of appointment within the Children & Young Peoples Service (CYPS) and Adult and Health Service (AHS).

The post will support both the Children & Young Peoples Service (CYPS) and Adult and Health Service (AHS) within the Authority, services include schools, children’s social care and adult social care.

Previous experience of having worked within these environments or similar would be advantageous.

Candidates should have NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent relevant qualification.
