Two permanent posts are available and one temporary post is available for 12 months.

Salary: £27,843 per annum
37 Hours Posts – plus 2 hours per week (stand down leave will apply – for further clarification of this please contact the Lead Officer). Generous holidays and pension scheme apply to these posts.
Positions have arisen for Roofers located at Meadowfield Depot or another location to be agreed within County Durham, working within Building and Facilities Maintenance, Repairs and Maintenance Team.
The post holders will carry out Roofing duties as required by the Roofing, Painting and Flooring Manager and relevant supervisory staff within the Repairs and Maintenance Service. The roles also involve some multi-skilling and applicants with experience of general building skills will be at an advantage.
The candidates must be educated to a minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a Roofing related discipline and have a trade related apprenticeship or equivalent. The successful candidates must have experience of working at a similar level within a commercial environment.
Due to the requirement to potentially drive a vehicle in these roles, appointments will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
