As a Leisure Team Member Apprentice, you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in Culture, Sport and Tourism.

The structured training programme will enable the apprentices to gain experience, further education and broad base skills within Community Sport and Health.

The apprenticeship role involves developing skills, knowledge, and experience to ensure the full operations of a Leisure Centre maintaining all of the required set standards across the organisation and providing a high-quality service to customers that is safe, efficient and enjoyed by users.

The apprenticeship will be based at the Wolsingham designated locality venue in your priority area. However, you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.

You will be studying towards the Leisure Team Member Level 2 standard via ActivFirst.

You must have or expect to achieve a 4 GCSE’s at Grades A*-C/9-4 or hold an equivalent and relevant qualification including English.

You must be able to work with customers face to face from a range of backgrounds, follow instructions and be able to work in a team.
