Peripatetic Home Care and Support worker
1 x 18 hours 30 minutes temporary post

Part-time (18 hours 30 minutes) Peripatetic Home Care & Support Worker required temporary up to 31/12/2023 subject to service review.

SALARY: £19,264 - £20,043 pro rata to hours worked (an hourly rate of £10.18 rising to £10.38) - grade 3
** plus enhanced payments for working unsocial hours**
For evenings (after 8.00pm), night shift and weekends £13.57 rising to £13.84 an hour.
(plus further enhanced hourly rate payable for working Bank Holidays)

If you have elderly friends and relatives, you will understand the value they place on independence.

This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to a vital and valuable 24-hour community service in your local area, by providing care and support to service users within one of the extra Care Schemes.

The post requires candidates to work flexibly, covering a variety of shifts covering days, evenings, nights and weekends, across the Extra care service.

Applicants must have access to a car or access to a means of mobility support (if driving must have a current valid UK driving licence and appropriate insurance including business).

Applicants should have the ability to develop excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate a common-sense approach, be able to work on their own initiative and, after completion of an induction, manage their own workloads, along with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, colleagues and external agencies.

No previous experience is required however applicants must be prepared to undertake intimate personal care.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Care or willingness to achieve within a set timescale

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 6th June , 2022.

The appointment for this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced level check.
