At Hamsterley Primary School Staff and Governors involve parents and members of the community in the life of our school. We have very supportive parents, governors and members of the community and our children are kind and caring and they behave well.
We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant with the drive and passion to support school improvement, run interventions and be part of the heart and soul of the community.
We strive for our children and staff to love being part of our community, ensuring they leave us with fond memories and a firm foundation from which to grow for the rest of their lives.
The successful candidate will be wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our hard-working and dedicated team.
They will demonstrate skills in the following areas:
• Hold high expectations of pupils and a strong commitment to raising standards
• Will make learning exciting, memorable and enjoyable
• Experience and a keen interest in supporting all pupils including those with a SEN
• Have a sense of humour and willingness to work as part of a team
• Have a commitment to the whole life of the school, including the provision of extra-curricular activities.
• Understand what life can be like working in mixed-aged classes
• Be confident covering PPA (in line with the Grade 5 job description)
• Fulfilment of the Durham County Council Grade 5 Job Description.
