An opportunity has arisen for a Enforcement Officer within a busy Planning Development Management team with responsibility for the effective delivery of statutory planning processes and requirements.

The post holder will manage a case load of planning enforcement matters including identification and evaluation of breaches of planning control and the monitoring of development and the making of recommendations to service management in such matters.

The post holder will play an important role in ensuring the service effectively engages with its customers, including the general public, developers and other groups and agencies and may be required to attend Council and other public meetings, including appeal hearings to support Senior Officers.

Candidates should be educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant town planning qualification or recent experience of development management or other regulatory enforcement services.
