DurhamWorks is a dedicated Programme aimed at young people aged 15-24 yrs. in County Durham who are at risk of or not in Education, Employment or Training. We are a partnership made up of Durham County Council and several organisations working together to support and help young people create their own future.

The Progression Worker will engage with, and offer Information, Advice and Guidance to young people to enable them to progress into and remain in education, employment, or training, as part of their successful transition into adult life.

We have opportunities available to work on the DurhamWorks Programme for Schools Team with young people aged 15/16yrs and with unemployed young people aged 16-24yrs on the DurhamWorks programme.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people and have a genuine passion and interest in supporting young people to make the career and life choices to help them succeed, whether this be with their transition from secondary school to post 16 destinations or removing barriers and helping to gain apprenticeships or employment.

Required qualifications: Level 2 qualification in a relevant field e.g. Information, Advice and Guidance; Youth Work or Employment Related etc and a willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance would be an advantage.
