As a Team Manager, you will be leading a creative, supportive team working with Children and Families. You will be supported by our other amazing Team Managers, Social Work Consultants, and the extended senior management team. We offer a really strong training and development offer including an inhouse leadership and development programme.

A recent Team Manager said, ‘she has enjoyed the supportive culture from her peers and other Team Managers.’

Within recent OFSTED inspection our services were deemed as being Good. The inspection recognised our relationship-based practise, our outstanding management team and the fact that we know our service well. Staff, children and their families all spoke about how supported they feel.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the work held within the team, working closely with your social work consultant to ensure that effective support and high-quality services are being delivered to our children and families and work is being produced to a good standard. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is wanting to play a key role as part of our management team who wants to make an impact on outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

To apply for this role, you need to be social work qualified, registered with Social Work England, and have considerable post qualifying experience. Previous or current leadership or supervisory experience will be an advantage.

Salary: £43,570 - £47,665 plus £2,500 lump sum recruitment and retention allowance (reviewed annually). Salary on appointment is determined by length of service and level of experience.

Removal, lodging and separation expenses may be available to the successful candidate if at the time of application for appointment their place of residence is outside the administrative area of County Durham and more than 30 miles in a straight line from their new administrative centre, along with a number of other criteria for eligibility.

Required qualifications: Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, e.g., Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PDDipSW) Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS) & current Social Work England Registration.
