We have opportunities for a permanent part time post, along with casual as and when required posts, across Durham County Council leisure centres.

You will join teams across our leisure centres in order to provide friendly, effective and efficient customer service.

The post holders will be required to welcome visitors in person, deal with customers via the telephone, manage bookings take payments and complete other administrative tasks as required.

In order to help the centre maintain it’s high standards of customer care, the ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, have previous experience in a customer facing role and have a commitment to providing good customer care.

A flexible attitude to work is essential as the postholders will be required to work outside of normal office hours as and when required.

Required qualifications: NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a relevant area

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
