We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Social Workers to deliver care co-ordination for people who experience severe and / or enduring mental health difficulties. We are keen to support qualified AMHPS within these roles or social workers who are interested in undertaking the training.
We currently have a range of permanent and temporary full-time and part-time vacancies within the Community Mental Health Teams across County Durham.
The Community Mental Health Teams provide an integrated health and social care approach to supporting people with severe and enduring mental health problems and their carers.
These generic teams provide statutory and specialist interventions on behalf of both Durham County Council and Tees Esk and Wear Valley’s NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicants will join multi-disciplinary teams of workers who are committed to providing a flexible and effective service to people with a range of mental disorders.
You must have up to date knowledge of current legislation and Policies/ Procedures in relation to Adult Health and Social Care.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification i.e., Degree, DipSW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent and either be a qualified AMHP or be willing to train as an Approved Mental Health Professional within specific timescales.
Applicants must hold or be applying for Social Work England registration.
The successful applicants for these posts will be required to apply for a Disclosure Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
