Business Support Officer

Business Services have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Business Support Officer to join our teams supporting the Locality Teams within Adult Health Services.

The 37 hour vacancy will be working alongside our Council’s hybrid model between home address and Greencroft, Stanley office.

The Locality Teams are Adult Health Services Teams that ensure that the social care needs of people are fully assessed under the Care Act and that the services are delivered, monitoring and reviewed in accordance of agreed care plans.

The successful applicant will become part of an administrative support team dealing with a high demand of calls from clients and other internal and external professionals, they will be required to follow protocol to action these calls accordingly and in a timely manner. These calls can involve working with the wider service on a county wide scale.

They will be working with their team to process tasks coming through via a team mailbox. As the Business Support Officer for the team they will lead with the administration of panel working with the Locality Team Manager and external agencies, dealing with finance queries, welfare calls for clients and note taking.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of working within a busy admin setting and dealing with a demanding volume of calls. Their customer services skills will need to be of a high standard for this role along with the understanding of data protection when dealing with service users information. They will need to ensure accuracy in everyday work and work well as part of a team.

Qualifications: NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 5th September,2022.
Interviews may be held remotely via Microsoft Teams or face to face
