An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer to join our Housing Solutions Team.

This role will be dedicated to those individuals and families who are threatened with homelessness following resettlement into County Durham via a number of the governments programmes including UK resettlement, Homes for Ukraine, people fleeing conflict and those seeking asylum.

The post holder will carry out the local authorities’ statutory duties to prevent and relieve homelessness. This will require a full assessment of a households’ housing and support needs including the completion of a Plan (personal housing plan). The primary purpose of the role is to work with households and partner agencies to prevent homelessness.

Applicants should have a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent together with experience within a housing, homelessness or support related service.

Interviews are scheduled to be held on a date to be confirmed.
