VACANCY NO: AHS/22/565

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic Home Support Workers within Hawthorn House, a unit which provides an extremely high standard of care in a short break/respite setting for people with learning disabilities based in Durham.

You will work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends, for which enhancements will be paid.

The postholder will be working in a CQC Outstanding service as a member of a small, dedicated team who strive to provide the very highest standards of care and support to people with a learning disability. Full training will be given to enable the post-holder support with moving and handling, administering medication, undertaking personal care.

Applicants should have experience of working in a care environment/working with people who have a learning disability/specialist/complex needs/behaviours that may challenge.

Required Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. Applicants must be prepared to complete NVQ Level 3.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 12th September, 2022
