The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint a dynamic and passionate teacher who will lead their school in Maths and another area of whole school improvement depending on the successful candidates’ strengths and interests. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher, who may have foundation subject leadership experience and is looking to progress to leading a core subject or for a teacher with experience leading Maths and would like to gain experience in another setting. Candidates must be able to work across the primary age phases but will teach initially in UKS2.

The successful candidate must have a passion for Mathematics, with excellent subject knowledge and pedagogy for how children learn in their chosen subject. They will be able to lead staff from Nursery to Year 6, ensuring progression throughout the school and raising standards so that every child meets their full potential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a good track record in raising standards in their chosen subject and be able to make accurate evaluations and clear plans about how to improve.

The TLR post will include leading a core subject as well as leading on a whole school improvement area, ensuring our pupils leave us ready for the next stage of their education journey.

In addition, the successful candidate must have a warm and friendly personality in order to fit in to our welcoming ethos. They must be able to show resilience and work well in a team, bringing fresh and up to date methodology to our current practice.
