A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for an Administration Assistant working full time 37 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team supporting the Community Protection team, based at Annand House, Meadowfield.
The duties include:
• Admin support of licences i.e. Animal Licences, Body Art / Tattoo
• Processing orders for Community Protection
• Logging customer service requests
• Dealing with enquiries over the telephone and e-mail
• Taking minutes of meetings
• General administration duties
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer-service. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy, be well-organised and flexible, have good IT skills and manage changing priorities. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your initiative.
You must have 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent.

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
