Business Services have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Business Support Officer to join our teams supporting The Locality Teams within Adult Health Services.

The Locality Teams supported are Adult Health Services Teams that ensure that the social care needs of people are fully assessed under the Care Act and that the services are delivered, monitoring and reviewed un accordance of agreed care plans.

Successful applicants will become part of an administrative support team dealing with a high demand of calls from clients and other internal and external professionals, you will be required to follow protocol to action these calls accordingly and in a timely manner. These calls can involve working with the wider service on a county wide scale. You will also be working with the team to process tasks coming through via a team mailbox.

As The Business Support Officer for the team, you will lead with the administration of panel working with the Locality Team Manager and external agencies, dealing with finance queries, welfare calls for clients and note taking.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of working within a busy admin setting and dealing with a demanding volume of calls. Customer services skills will need to be of a high standard for this role along with the understanding of data protection when dealing with service users information. You will need to ensure accuracy in everyday work and work well as part of a team.

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
