The Woodlands EHN Team are seeking to recruit intervention teachers to educate pupils who are medically too unwell to attend school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families. To support a child’s education until they are well enough to reintegrate to their school.

Secondary post holders will be required to teach a core curriculum subject and in addition PHSE and an option subject.

Primary post holders will be required to teach all elements of the National Curriculum.

The successful candidate must be:
• A skilled and effective teacher with enthusiasm and drive
• Committed to working alongside a supportive and dynamic team to continue to raise standards and achievement.
• Has experience of delivering a creative curriculum.
• Have high expectations in all areas of school life
• Possesses excellent communication skills.
• Is well organised, highly motivated and flexible when working independently or as part of a team.
The post holder will be required to travel across all of County Durham. Teaching may take place in the family home, a Durham County building (e.g. One Point, library), an EHN Base (Sacriston or Leadgate) or a mainstream/specialist school in County Durham.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
