We are seeking to appoint permanent part-time Supporting Family Time Workers (22 hours per week) to deliver family time on a shift pattern of either full day Saturday, then 3 x afternoons or Monday - Friday afternoons and early evening with some weekend working involved.

The post holder will supervise children, young people and their families to experience quality time together whilst completing accurate recordings using observations and assessments. They will also promote all aspects of the service and liaise with other agencies when required.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to form relationships with users and their families as well as knowledge of child development, the Children Act and Local Safeguarding Children Board Procedures.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Providing family time at a range of venues throughout County Durham.
• Supporting the Team Leader/Team Manager in providing a safe service delivery including assessment and management of risk.
• Adhering to published policies, standards and procedures in the delivery of the service.
• Notifying providers and quality controllers about deficiencies in the standards of services.

Required qualifications:
NVQ level 3 (Childcare and Education or Early Years Care and Education), NNEB/CACHE Diploma (Childcare and Education) or BTEC/EDEXEL (Childhood Studies - Nursery Nursing), Early Years Teaching Certificate, Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent relevant qualification.
