Gateshead Music Service is looking to increase its’ pool of Casual Music Teachers. We are seeking a range of specialisms, in particular: 1) multi-instrumentalists able to implement a quality Whole Class Ensemble Tuition provision and 2) contemporary pop genre specialists with experience mentoring young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
You should be committed to supporting Gateshead Council policies around safeguarding, Quality Assurance and other Health and Safety procedures. You will be paid on the main pay range or unqualified pay range, with hourly rates linked to experience and qualifications, and will initially be employed on a casual hours basis.
We are seeking committed individuals with the skills to progress pupils at all stages of their musical development – whether that is WCET leading to one off performances, small group tuition progressing to ensembles or actively engaging with and promoting large scale performances and concerts across our partnerships within Gateshead & South Tyneside Music Education Hub.
