As a Lexcel accredited legal team committed to achieving continuous improvement and to ensuring our clients receive a high quality, cost effective service, we wish to recruit a flexible, skilled and enthusiastic Lawyer with a 'can do' approach to join us within the Commercial and Development Legal Team. This team primarily provides legal advice in wide ranging commercial and property matters including large scale procurement and developments.

We wish to recruit an experienced solicitor/barrister/qualified ILEX legal executive with recent PQE covering commercial, contract and, procurement matters including state aid and funding agreements, supporting significant development projects, drafting and negotiating associated documents. You will be expected to provide commercial legal advice across the Authority and support the North Tyneside Trading Company and its subsidiaries. A proven ability to undertake these areas of work independently with limited supervision and meet moving deadlines is essential.

You will be flexible and adaptable to the demands of a very busy legal service and will have up to date knowledge of commercial contracts, procurement and property developments to enable them to undertake a varied caseload.
