North Tyneside Housing works closely with its Joint Venture Partner (Kier North Tyneside) and invests circa £30m per annum in repairing and improving its housing stock.

We are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor who will oversee the production and validation of costing information, the preparation of interim valuations, implementation of a comprehensive cost control system, and all other Pre and Post contract duties.

You will be part of our Housing Property Services Team and will provide financial expertise across all capital and revenue works within an open book accounting environment.

Your must have excellent numerical and written skills and have motivation to work efficiently and effectively to high standards of quality. A working knowledge of refurbishment and modernisation in Social Housing, highways knowledge and a working knowledge of NEC contracts would be a distinct advantage. You should also posses an aptitude for utilising Information Technology with particular reference to Microsoft packages.

You should have an appreciation of financial systems and have at least 3 years experience of working within a Quantity Surveying office or Construction environment.
