North Tyneside Council Adaptations and Loan Equipment Service provides over 25,000 items of assistive technology each year, ranging from walking frames, profiling beds, to one off specialist bespoke equipment. This enables vulnerable residents to live independently and safely in their homes.

We are proud of the services we provide and are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed logistics/Warehouse Apprentice.

You will be part of a team maintaining the appropriate levels and types of equipment to support both hospital discharges and customers living in the community. You will be trained in the correct manual handling of equipment and in the use of mechanical lifting equipment. You will use a bespoke IT system to manage logistics which will include stock level management, ordering of new equipment, setting daily delivery routes and loading schedules.

This post is fixed-term for 18 months.
