We are seeking to recruit a qualified accountant who will hold the role of Finance Manager reporting to the Section 151 Officer. You must have extensive knowledge of Local Government Finance, you will be a confident communicator and capable of building positive relationships with elected Members, the Senior Leadership team, our Partners and Colleagues.

For this role we are looking for someone to support a strong corporate approach, with excellent leadership skills and a strong desire to deliver an excellent finance service. You will be equally at home in strategic problem solving as in handling complex sensitive issues. You will have extensive experience of managing budgets, service planning and leading change, project management and production of final accounts for a complex service delivery organisation with turnover levels in excess of £300 million.

Particular focus of this role requires experience of wide range of delivering the financial aspects of commercial activities regarding property and residential development, being the lead finance officer supporting the Authority’s trading company operations including delivery of the Company Secretary role.
