A Housing Advice Officer vacancy has arisen within North Tyneside Council’s Housing Options Service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Housing Advice Team for the role of Housing Advice Officer, in order to do this role you will need to have an excellent working knowledge of homelessness and allocations and will have experience of interviewing customers and providing advice and assistance to those seeking re-housing and who are affected by homelessness.
You will be required to carry out full investigations into a person’s homelessness application, in accordance with the Homeless Reduction Act
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with a commitment to delivering a high quality housing options service.
You will have experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines and be performance driven to ensure yours and the team’s performance targets are met.
The post is 18.5 hours per week, fixed term for 9 months.
