An exciting opportunity has arisen in the North Tyneside Housing Department, we are looking for adaptable, flexible, individuals who are committed to enhancing the lives of some of our most vulnerable households and ensuring that they are able to live in good quality housing and able sustain their home.

The primary purpose of the Tenancy Sustainment Officer is to ensure our tenancies are established and sustained through proactive intervention by delivering a range of advice, support and preventive measures.

You will work as part of a highly motivated team which is proactive and customer focussed to ensure that our estates are clean, safe and thriving places where people want to live.

You will be responsible for supporting people to sustain tenancies by encouraging and facilitating their independence, quality of life, health and well-being. This will include providing practical advice, information and support on a wide range of issues including housing options, welfare rights, personal finance, life skills and the promotion of personal independence.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer care skills and a commitment to delivering high quality customer focused housing services.
