Sunderland Care and Support is a Local Authority owned trading company supporting a wide range of vulnerable people across the City of Sunderland.

Our Values.....

At Sunderland Care and Support we aim to be a trusted provider in the delivery of high-quality customer focused social and health care services.

Our Single Point of Contact.....

Sunderland Care and Support, as part of the Altogether Better Alliance in Sunderland, operates an integrated Health and Social Care Single Point of Contact for Recovery at Home services.

Recovery at Home provides a rapid response and support to people with health and social care needs, enabling people to remain in their own home rather than being admitted to hospital or into long term care. The service also provides support to people, when they are discharged from hospital, helping them to regain their independence and confidence.

What you can offer.....

As a Call Handler, you will be a key point of contact for health and social care professionals and patients.

You will collect and record information, identify people in need of an immediate response, direct callers to clinical colleagues for further assessment or to social care colleagues to find an intermediate care solution.

We are looking for suitably skilled individuals, who have experience in customer service. You should have excellent written and communication skills and good IT and typing skills.

This is not your standard contact centre job and we are confident that it will prove to be an excellent career choice for applicants with a passion for providing first-class customer service and who want to be at the forefront of the interface between health and social care.

What we can offer you.....

The job is extremely rewarding and in return we offer:

• 37 hours per week
• A starting salary of £18,795 rising to £19,171
• Designated rota pattern
• Excellent training opportunities
• A pension scheme
• Generous annual leave entitlement
• Career development opportunities
• A positive and rewarding job role and culture
• Work shifts on a rota including daytime, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

Applying for the position.....

This closing date for applications is 12pm on Monday 16th December and application forms should be submitted via email to recruitment.SCAS@sunderlandcareandsupport.co.uk or via post to David Kelly, Financial Resources Manager, Sunderland Care and Support, Leechmere Centre, Carrmere Road, Sunderland, SR2 9TQ.
