Administrative Assistant (LA Outreach Services)

Grade 2: PT.15-17 Pro-rata

Based at Sunningdale School (1 day)
Washington School (1 day)
.5 day flexible as required

18 hours per week (2.5 days per week-Wednesday pm/Thursday/Friday)
PERMANENT (Required as soon as possible)
Closing date: October 18th, 2018 (by 4.30pm)

We currently have a vacancy for an efficient, flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to provide administrative support for the staff working within the following two ‘City wide’ outreach services.
• Hearing/Visual Impaired Service (Washington School)
• Portage Service (Sunningdale School)

Both services are based within two different schools, therefore it would be imperative that the successful candidate be prepared to travel between the two sites and be sufficiently flexible to work within the systems that exist within two different ‘Services’.

The Hearing/Visually Impaired Service (HI/VI) provides support for those children within mainstream settings who require intervention for additional hearing/sight difficulties.
The Portage Service is a Home Visiting Service for Pre-School children with special educational need and additional needs.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work independently and have a proficient working knowledge of computer software systems.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to join two very small, friendly and focused teams.

or Mrs. Charlotte Beattie (Assistant HT, Sunningdale School) on 0191 5280440
