Newcastle City Learning is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative tutor to develop the delivery of counselling courses to adult learners across the city. This will include a range of courses, from short workshops to tutoring on our new Level 5 Diploma courses. You will be a qualified therapist who is ideally familiar with CBT and an integrative way of working.

Ideally, you will have some experience of teaching adults and at the interview stage, you will be expected to demonstrate effective teaching and learning skills in a short micro-teach session. The ideal candidates will possess excellent teaching, assessment and planning skills and be confident in the use of e-learning and virtual learning environments.

The successful candidate would be expected to teach daytime and/or evening classes at venues including Gosforth Library, City Library, Westgate College and Heaton Centre.

Use of own vehicle, current valid driving licence, or access to mobility transport and a willingness to travel are essential for this role. Please note teaching qualifications are also an essential requirement for this role.
