Further Information
An opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Part-time Scheme Manager to manage, co-ordinate, and ensure delivery of the remaining projects within the Allen Valleys Landscape Partnership Scheme working as part of the North Pennines AONB Partnership until the end of September 2018.

The LPS Manager is in overall charge of the delivery of the Allen Valleys Landscape Partnership Scheme, leading a small team to deliver the Allen Valleys Landscape Conservation Action Plan (LCAP), and subsequent agreed revisions. Good project, people and contract management skills are a pre-requisite and provision of regular reports on progress and key issues to an established advisory group is required. The scheme is approaching its final 12 months of delivery, and the Scheme Manager will ensure the successful completion of agreed outputs within the approved timescale and budgets.

To lead on the delivery of a multi-stranded £2.7 million HLF Landscape Partnership Scheme on behalf of the North Pennines AONB Partnership and the communities of the Allen valleys. This work involves contract management, project management, fund raising, the writing of a highly complex bid document and budgets and significant liaison with communities and land managers.

This work is in the context of the AONB Partnership operating at arms’ length from the County Council and not on their behalf (DCC is our host authority and accountable body, a minority funder and one of many partners – we report to the Partnership board rather than DCC).

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a landscape, heritage, or environmental subject together with having experience of contract and project management.
