Do you enjoy practical outdoor work, supporting local communities, and helping green spaces flourish?
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Allotment Warden to support the day-to-day management and maintenance of our allotment sites. This is a varied hands-on role where no two days are the same - from helping maintain pathways and boundaries to supporting tenants and assisting with site inspections.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assisting with the upkeep of allotment plots and communal areas
Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Supporting safe, clean, and accessible allotment sites
Helping tenants with guidance and promoting good site practices
Reporting maintenance and safety issues
Supporting volunteers, apprentices, and trainees when required
We’re seeking someone who:
Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
Has practical maintenance or grounds experience
Can work independently and as part of a team
Has good communication and customer service skills
Takes pride in maintaining welcoming community spaces
Is organised, dependable, and safety-conscious
