Enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in keeping places clean, safe and welcoming?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and practical Allotment Warden to support the day-to-day maintenance of our allotment sites. Working alongside the Allotment Officer, you'll help ensure plots, pathways and communal areas are clean, tidy, safe and accessible for tenants and visitors.
The role is varied and hands-on, involving basic repairs, vegetation management, fencing and pathway maintenance, assisting with site inspections, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
We are looking for someone who enjoys outdoor work, has a practical approach to maintenance, takes pride in high standards, and is committed to providing excellent customer service. A positive attitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong awareness of health and safety are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing
Assisting with the upkeep of allotment plots and communal areas
Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Supporting safe, clean, and accessible allotment sites
Helping tenants with guidance and promoting good site practices
Reporting maintenance and safety issues
Supporting volunteers, apprentices, and trainees when required

Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
Has practical maintenance or grounds experience
Can work independently and as part of a team
Has good communication and customer service skills
Takes pride in maintaining welcoming community spaces
Is organised, dependable, and safety-conscious
