Further Information
Are you an inspirational teacher who is looking for an opportunity to work in an exciting and innovative department within a collaborative and ambitious school? If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you to join this forward-looking Academy in south-east Northumberland, where you will be supported to develop your career at the same time as making a difference to the lives of our students and community.

Our internal Alternative Provision department provides an interesting and engaging curriculum for a small group of pupils who thrive in an environment that works in a different way to traditional school. Within a small team in a separate facility, you will work with our AP cohort in supporting them to achieve qualifications and work that best prepares them for their future. Your ability to build relationships and your flexibility to deliver outside of your specialist subject area are key to success in this role.

The successful candidates will demonstrate that they are capable of delivering consistently excellent classroom teaching and learning, and that they are energetic, enthusiastic, creative and resilient. You will be based at our Josephine Butler Secondary Campus in Ashington. Although this post is for maternity cover, we are hoping to expand this area of our provision and further opportunities may be available towards the end of the contract.

We are looking for staff who want to be part of a vibrant school community, where each member is valued and where all can let their light shine. If you feel that this describes you, then please join our Academy and make that difference a reality.

If you would like to visit the Academy to see it in action and explore the opportunities we offer for staff, please contact Tracey Cook, Director of Director of HR at tracey.cook@ncea.org.uk or 01670 816111 to arrange this.

Your completed application form and supporting information should be returned to Tracey Cook at the above email address.

The Northumberland Church of England Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
