As part of the Council’s Annual Apprenticeship Program, we have an opportunity to start a rewarding career as an Adult Care Worker, gaining paid work experience whilst studying towards an Adult Care Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification.

As an Apprentice Adult Care Worker you will work on the frontline with adult clients supporting them with their individual care and support needs within their own homes, day care centres or residential centres. You will learn to provide personalised care and activities helping them achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives.

WORK LOCATION: This will be discussed with you during the application process. You may be offered work in one of our Day Service Centres, in a Residential setting or our Reablement Service supporting clients in their own home. Depending on the team you are placed in, you may be required to work on a Rota which will include weekends.

As this is an apprenticeship opportunity, you will be provided with all the training and support you need to be a success.

SALARY: We pay our apprentices National Minimum Wage for Age:
• Age 23 and Over: £10.42per hour - £16,300p.a.
• Age 21 to 22: £10.18per hour - £15,924p.a.
• Age 18 to 20: £7.49per hour - £11,717p.a.
• Under 18: £5.28per hour - £8,259p.a.
