JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a caring, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work on their as well as part of a team. The job involves working directly with adults, delivering personal care and low-level therapy support to help them maintain their independence. You will be working with clients within their own home, therefore use of independent transport will be required to access various locations around the borough of Stockton on Tees. As the job involves working directly with adults, it is therefore subject to an enhanced DBS check.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
• Good Communication Skills
• Articulate and able to converse confidently in a pleasant and professional manner.
• A desire to work in social care and make a positive difference to the lives of others
• Full Driving License and access to a motor vehicle - due to the role requiring travel between venues
• Flexibility to work shifts, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, between 7:00am-10:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend College and work towards completion of an Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship Qualification which will also give you a Level 2 Diploma in Care. It is a great opportunity to gain work experience, valuable skills and knowledge whilst working towards a recognised qualification.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 15 MONTHS

SALARY:
• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £7,226per year (30hrs)
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £10,261per year (30hrs)
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £13,076per year (30hrs)
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £13,037per year (30hrs)
