Further information

The Council
Northumberland County Council operates a huge range of services across the largest county in the UK. Local Government’s ongoing challenges and the diversity of our residents means we have to work smarter. That’s why we want bold, creative and agile thinkers who can help us move forward and innovate.

The Service
The Client Relations Team sit within the Wellbeing and Community Health Group working with both Adult and Children's Social Care Services.

The remit of the team is two-fold:
1) to record and manage customer feedback from service users in terms of compliments, suggestions and complaints with the aim of service improvement and complaint resolution.
2) to manage and process Subject Access Requests in line with DPA/GDPR 2018 requirements.

The role of apprentice will be to provide administrative assistance to support the work undertaken by the Team. Within their work the apprentice will build knowledge of the various legislative processes involved and it is hoped that with experience they will be able to join other team members in offering appropriate guidance and support to other officers in the wider department.

This is a very busy public facing team, dealing with confidential and sensitive information/records and we are therefore looking for someone who is hard working and motivated, understands the importance of confidentiality and is able to work to specific deadlines. An eye for detail and accuracy is essential.

For the successful applicant, this apprenticeship will offer an excellent grounding in public services administration and more specifically the social care provisions providing essential knowledge and experience for anyone wanting to progress in those fields of work
