JOB DESCRIPTION: To encourage the Council’s customers to use a variety of digital channels to help them access and receive services. This includes coaching and supporting them to complete and submit information remotely and to participate in digital developments and service improvement activities.
To respond to enquiries from the Council’s customers across a range of service areas in an efficient, effective, sensitive and courteous manner

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:

• Maths and English at Level 2 / GCSE Grade C / 4 or above or predicted grades.
• Experience of using and optimising digital products and services, particularly websites, apps and the Microsoft office toolkit.
• Excellent IT Skills including the use of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Communicate skills – verbal and written.
• Work as part of a team and independently.
• Be articulate and able to converse confidently and efficiently in a pleasant and professional manner.

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend training and work towards completion of a Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.


• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £8,913per year
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £12,656per year
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £16,128per year
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £17,189per year
