JOB DESCRIPTION: Working within the Homelessness and Housing Solutions Team, you will assist to provide a front-line service to customers across the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees who are experiencing housing issues and enabling customers to access service in accordance with Homelessness Legislation. Supporting clients to ensure they are healthy safe and protected from harm, you will have the opportunity to assist the Housing Solutions and Rough Sleepers Team to find suitable placements for any customers who are in a Homeless situation.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English & Maths / GCSE Grade C/4 or above
• Good IT Skills and able to use Microsoft Office
• Experience working as part of a team (this could be in a sporting, educational, work or social setting)
• Ability to communicate confidently and in a pleasant manner, both orally and in writing
• Ability to solve problems logically
• Demonstrates the behaviours that underpin the Council’s Culture Statement.

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend College and work towards completion of Housing and Property Management L3 Apprenticeship. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 21 MONTHS

SALARY
• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £8,913per year
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £12,656per year
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £16,128per year
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £17,189per year
