As part of the Council’s Annual Apprenticeship Program, we have an amazing opportunity within Tees Valley Music Service, to gain work experience as an Apprentice Resource Assistant working with our musical stock and supporting events, whilst studying towards a Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification.

Based at the Frederick Nattrass Centre in Norton, your day-to-day duties will vary, but will include assisting with stock control and instrument delivery / collection across the four Local Authorities; instrument maintenance and minor repairs; inputting data into a bespoke software system; setting up workshops for music sessions; and moving and lifting heavy instruments; and assisting at concerts/events as necessary which may include some weekend and evening work.
As this is an apprenticeship opportunity, you will be provided with all the training and support you need to be a success.
We are looking for someone with the following personal attributes, skills and behaviours:
• English Language & Maths Level 1 qualifications - GCSE at Grade D / 3 or above or equivalent Level 1 Functional Skills (Predicted Grade or Obtained)
• A genuine interest in music and broad knowledge of various types of musical instruments
• Communication skills - listening, spoken and written
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
• Ability to undertake independent travel across the Tees Valley area.

SALARY: We pay our apprentices National Minimum Wage for Age:
• Age 23 and Over: £10.42per hour - £20,103p.a.
• Age 21 to 22: £10.18per hour - £19,640p.a.
• Age 18 to 20: £7.49per hour - £14.450p.a.
• Under 18: £5.28per hour - £10,187p.a.
