Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
Ridgeway Primary Academy are recruiting for Supporting Teaching and Learning apprentices to support the teaching staff. Their aim is to continually improve, and offer pupils fabulous opportunities to learn and achieve. The care and pastoral support that the school provides is one of its key strengths.
Vacancy description
• Contribute to preparing the classroom for learning activities
• Working with groups of, and individual pupils, who require extra support
• Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
• Supervising group activities
• Carrying out administrative tasks
• Attend team, staff meetings and training
• Undertake any other duties from time to time as the head teacher require

• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills
Personal qualities
• Creativity
• Patience and a sense of humour
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Motivated to succeed within the job

Desired qualifications
• GCSE Grades A-C or the equivalent in English, maths and ICT.
Future prospects
A fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship. An excellent opportunity to gain work experience before applying to university should you wish to pursue a career in teaching.
