Approved Premises (Residential) work with high risk offenders on license whilst promoting the rehabilitation of offenders.

Approved Premises Manager

Applicants should have the ability to lead a team which aims to effectively manage and support offenders in the community. Essential aspects of this post include leading on and managing; budgets, facilities, human resources, oversight of risk management and the rehabilitation offenders. The manager will work to service the SVP Approved Premises management committee who oversee this work on behalf of the national SVP.

Along with the skills required, the AP Manager needs to be enthusiastic, imaginative, motivated, resilient and committed to leading a team in a very challenging residential environment. In addition they need to be able to express the values of both working within an ethos of rehabilitating offenders and the values of the SVP.

In order to support this you will have a pivotal role in developing the staff team in line with both the philosophy and skills needed in order to sustain continuous improvement and a high performing environment.

Alongside experience of working at a senior level in this sector a diploma in probation studies or a professional Social Work qualification is required.

Competitive codes and conditions of service are applicable and will be confirmed at interview. You will be expected to provide 24 hour year round on call cover on a shared rota with the two senior practitioners.
