This is a permanent contract for a class teacher position initially in Year 4 with whole school responsibilities for the leadership and management of SEN and working as part of the School Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Head Teacher.

We are in the exciting position of looking for an experienced primary class teacher with the passion, drive, commitment and experience to provide the very best education for our children. In this role you will be a member of our wider Senior Leadership Team as well as SENCO and Assistant Head Teacher.
You would be joining a large team of supportive staff in this very popular first school where high standards of achievement are important to us.
Gosforth Park is a one and a half form entry successful and happy school occupying an attractive building, in the heart of Gosforth. The Acting Head teacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint an outstanding primary teacher with experience in teaching and leading SENCO education.
The successful applicant must be able to make a real and positive contribution to the education of our children and be able to co-ordinate and improve even further the high quality of our SENCO teaching across the school. In the role you will also have class teaching responsibilities alongside dedicated release time to fulfil management duties. As such, you will be a leader of all aspects of SENCO teaching, vulnerable learners and behaviour and model outstanding teaching.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and be successful against a range of other recruitment checks.
