We are looking to recruit an Assistant Outreach Officer to assist in running programmes within the Culture, Health and Communities team at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM).
The Culture, Health and Communities Team are a central TWAM team working across our nine venues. We specialise in working with the people and communities of Tyneside - connecting creativity, health and wellbeing.
We believe in strategic partnerships and work with health and care professionals, local authorities, universities, charities and support services. Our programmes have been devised based on robust research identifying areas of need in our region.
You will have a people focussed attitude, be experienced in delivering activities and projects with a variety of audiences and general wellbeing focussed projects using culture. You will also be experienced in co-creating programmes of work with partner organisations and participants.
Experience of working with people and delivering sessions in community settings is important as is having experience of working (employed or voluntary) within a museum or cultural environment.
You will be responsible for building relationships with statutory and voluntary organisations delivering services to/with people detailed above.
