A Northumberland primary school is working exclusively with First Class Supply to appoint a Part-Time Attendance Administrator to work Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 2pm. The position will commence September 2018.

Our partner school is looking for a highly motivated and energetic candidate to contribute to the achievement of their pupils by ensuring excellent school attendance and punctuality rates and acting upon unexplained and unauthorised absences. The Attendance Administrator will work alongside key staff to promote excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with students and families to promote high levels of attendance.

The successful person appointed must also be able to prioritise workload to ensure all external and internal deadlines are met, and be able to work with sensitive information and material, maintaining confidentiality at all times

Duties include:

  • Data input on SIMS – experience with attendance module and attendance codes is essential
  • Act on information quickly and record all forms of contact on all systems accurately
  • Produce letters/texts appropriate to the different stages of absences
  • Monitoring first day calls/texts, recording reasons for absences within the SIMS system
  • Updating absences throughout the day as pupils come and go from school
  • Compile detailed reports to Senior Management on a daily basis relating to schools absence records
