Bereavement Services has an exciting opportunity for an individual to carry out the testing of approximately 58,000 memorials across our 8 cemeteries capturing their findings in relation to stability and condition on a designated system.

The main objectives for this post are as follows:
The Bereavement Services Technician will be required to provide the efficient, effective and high quality testing of memorials across the council’s 8 cemeteries, photographing and recording your findings on a windows based database. You will undertake site visits and inspections within our cemeteries as well as providing support to the wider bereavement services team. Ensuring full compliance at all times and meeting all Health and Safety requirements.
You will be required to work alone in cemeteries whilst carrying out inspections, however, you will have day to day involvement with council colleagues, residents, elected members, senior managers and representatives from partner organisations, therefore, customer service is key to the role, providing an excellent face to face and telephone response in answering queries and concerns at point of contact.

You will have good Information Technology skills and must have a good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Software and experience of setting up, maintaining and running a range of administrative systems.
