Are you looking for an opportunity to gain a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship whilst gaining valuable work experience? Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Wellbeing & Independence Service at Jervaulx Care Home.

The team are responsible for the care and provisions of adults aged 18-65 with a primary diagnosis of a Learning Disability. The team aims to provide the highest level of residential care, short breaks and independent living training to clients with a wide range of needs and disabilities.

You will gain valuable work experience supporting the team. You will obtain skills and experience covering a wide range of administration duties including; photocopying, note taking, following up actions, typing, answering the telephone, filing, sending emails/letters as appropriate. You will work alongside the management team liaising appropriately with colleagues, providers, service users and other customers through a range of communication methods (verbal, written, email, telephone.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.

As an apprentice you will be eligible to apply for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s internal job vacancies as and when they arise within the Council.

Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit. You will need a commitment to attend training to attain the appropriate level of functional skills (Maths, English and ICT) if these have not already been achieved.
