Are you an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual looking to make a real difference in Adult Social Care?
We’re looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our Mental Health & Learning Disability Support Team and help deliver high-quality administrative services that support the wellbeing of our community.
As a Business Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services. You’ll provide professional and efficient administrative support across a range of functions, including:
- Minute-taking for key meetings and panels (e.g. Safeguarding, MDTs, HR)
- Managing electronic records and databases (e.g. LAS, LCS, EMS)
- Handling telephone queries and supporting diary management
- Coordinating meetings and distributing documentation
- Supporting financial processes such as invoice handling and petty cash
- Assisting with GDPR compliance and maintaining confidentiality
You’ll also contribute to service development and improvement, working flexibly across different areas of Adult Social Care to meet changing needs.

In 2019, North Tyneside Council declared a climate emergency. This declaration set a target to reduce the carbon footprint of the council’s operations, and the borough, by 50% by 2023 and to align to the Government’s net zero target of 2050.
