Grove House offers a specialist overnight short break service for children and young people with disabilities within Gateshead.
We are looking for a Male Care Assistant to join our team to provide support and personal care to children and young people with disabilities accessing services.
It is essential that you are qualified to
Level 3 Diploma for children and young people's workforce or a willingness to undertake this and have effective communication skills.
A current driving licence or access to mobility support and experience of working with children and young people and an awareness of disability is desirable.
If successful you will have to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
The Council are applying the genuine occupational qualification to this post and only request Male applicants.
