Further Information
Following our successful Ofsted reports we continue to receive unprecedented demand for pupil places within the Trust and therefore this means we need new team members who are enthusiastic and passionate about SEND and want to come and work in our exciting and growing Academies.

Ascent Academies Trust was founded by four special secondary schools with the aim of developing a vision and strategic plan for special educational needs in Sunderland, Easington and Stockton. By collaboratively working together they are able to increase the opportunities they can offer their own students and staff and each academy brings to Ascent its own wealth of knowledge and expertise within their area. Further information about the academies can be seen on their websites.

We are seeking to appoint a number of Care Assistants who have a good understanding of students with a wide range of SEN, including meeting their welfare needs.

We currently have vacancies in Portland, Hope Wood and Barbara Priestman Academy. Candidates will possess GCSE A*-G or equivalent in Maths and English.
